@Yorky did mention something about a fire at Petchkasem Hotel last Saturday.

Seems someone burnt the dinner!

Never stayed there but I thought it looked 20 years old about 10 years ago!!!
Had a bar/karaoke place on ground floor(I think)

Stayed for two nights back about 2008 because the Majestic was full. I do remember a restaurant on the ground floor as for the hotel..was not impressed.

I stayed there in '96 and it was old then! The karaoke place was over the swimming pool. They lidded the pool with boards after a certain time of night. It's been 20 years since I was in that bit.
