    Anubarnsurin Junior School

And for the rest of you who may live out in the sticks? The last director I worked under at Sirindhorn was a Pyhs-ed teacher (go figure :)) for 20+ years in Chom Pra. The assistant director, was a director of school in Ta Tum. (I believe). They had always been big advocates for kids from the...

    Anubarnsurin Junior School

I'm sure your daughters wont have problems getting into any of the specialty programs at Sirindhorn Nomad, given the fact that they grew up with a native speaking father, and are currently enrolled and doing well in their specialty program at Anubarnsurin. Aside from EP and SME, Sirindhorn...

    Anubarnsurin Junior School

Sirindhorn's EP will set you back 70,000 per year. Some parents don't mind paying extra per year for facilities but that does not mean the education is better or worse. EP is a full immersion program, so some kids benefit more than others. As far as extra learning classes, they are just money...

    Anubarnsurin Junior School

I have had my son at the Chinese school for the past 4 years; EP P2. He just turned 8. He has always spoken English, from the time he was old enough to speak that is, as well as Thai, but still needs to learn the finer points of both languages. They may have discontinued the EP for the upper...

I got a yellow book 2 months ago when I changed my extension from work to marriage. My WP used to suffice as proof of address, but no longer teaching therefore no WP.

Elephants and people live side-by-side in this small Thai village

I share your same views relating to the elephant village. Like it or not, it is part of Surin's heritage. Just thought I'd post since it's Surin related news.

I think the deposit for taking down the wall was already included in the yearly rental, so one can assume that it will be paid back if the premises is vacated and the wall is put back up. If the deposit is not refunded, one could also assume that it would hang on the owners of the property, if...

Permission has already been granted. The wall is coming down, with maybe some Floyd being played in the background.

90 day report by internet at KCI.

Anyone had any luck reporting online? I opened up Explorer, went to the Immigration site , clicked on "notification of staying in the kingdom over 90 days" and scrolled down to the very bottom where it stated "work in progress". Clicked on it anyway and it linked me to the online reporting page...

    Wagyu Noodle Restaurant

I've heard from a few people now that it's very good, not cheap, but not over the top either. Need to give it a try. Wagu cattle are raised here in Thailand just like Angus and Wagu cattle raising in Texas so it would qualify as "Kobe". It's obviously not being imported from Japan.

Farangs need to pass "Thainess" course to get teacher license

I took the culture course 7 years ago which is/was approved by the TCT. In the past 7 years I have logged in over 5,000 teaching hours, same school, same program. I would think by now i would know a little bit about 'Thainess", but who am I to say. I may or may not have to take the new...

New one way streets in Surin city 16.2.2015

The problem with the traffic around the schools is that all schools let out at the same time, 4:20, causing a boat load of congestion. Now if they staggered a few schools by say 30 minutes (?) it might relieve the traffic jams on both Tesaban 1 and Luk Muang road, but unfortunately i don't think...
