After watching the new crime series 'Blue Lights', I am not at all surprised!

I watched E01 and E02 of "Blue Lights" last evening. Pretty good.

One of McAlpine's office managers and was a good friend of mine was a passenger in a car in Belfast during "The Troubles". The car stopped in traffic caused by riots on the road. He opened the back door and did a runner. He was next seen in Liverpool two days later!

He never did explain how he did that. Took it to his grave..

My car was stolen in Dublin on Easter Sunday, some 40+ years ago.

The Dublin police contacted me via the hotel I was staying in, a couple of hours after reporting the loss. They told me where I would find the car......but I had to go alone...It was a no go area for the police! I encountered no problems. Everything in the boot had gone, the thieves having gained access via the back seat. Insurance paid up in full and more!
