Colin, No but a friend just told me he was there and said it was good food and good prices. Newly opened by an older German man (was told he is nice and friendly) and his wife. Owner's name is Wolfgang. Speaks good English. There's some pics of his food and place on his FB page. I'll look for a map as his FB page doesn't seem to have directions to the place yet.

I have eaten there and the owner is indeed a friendly East German. My family eat there every Saturday lunchtime, it fits in with their educational needs. Quite an extensive menu and indeed very modestly priced. He has been open for just over two months. For those that do not know, Saran Park is the water park and swimming pool on the road out of Surin (226) going towards Buriram.

That place needed a restaurant of some description, last time I was there I had to eat 7/11 toasties.
