Many schools will have fewer hours of traditional schooling (the 3 r's) and will have 2 hours a day to learn other activities

Extract.....The reduced hours will be replaced by activities such as cooking and learning folk wisdom,................

I wonder what they mean by folk wisdom? Thai mumbo jumbo................ghosts, krasue's, where to find winning lottery numbers etc etc. shrug1

Getting back to the positive side of the OP, widening the curriculum is probably an excellent idea. The idea of more of the same simply does not work. I know kids in my village who can barely read and hate school who would love to be involved in a motor mechanic or woodwork course.

Show them a map of the world and point out that Thailand is actually smaller than America.
