Goodview Restaurant

Seven years ago this restaurant along the khlong had a very decent following of patrons particularly on weekends by both farangs and Thais.

Now only the Goodview sign stands out front of a demolished shell.

Time will tell if it saw it's the final days or will be rebuilding in their future...something foretells me the former.

Does anyone else have their pulse on the ground regarding Goodview ?

Now only the Goodview sign stands out front of a demolished shell.

It is not the first and I doubt it will be the last.

I still remember "Cowboy Corner" (or whatever it was called then). One of the busiest bars in Surin for a few years. When the place got busy, they had additional tables and chairs which they positioned on the pavement and even on the road to accommodate the additional clientele. Then, within a few weeks, it was empty!

As yet, not demolished though.

Went past today and I reckon it's being re-built..!

Noticed it was being torn down yesterday as I drove by. Hell it wasn't that long ago they added the second floor and air con. I'm not sure if they own the land it is on, or rent/lease the property.

unless they're panning for gold...

...it appears like work is taking place on the main concrete structural support.

Exactly what - I haven't a clue.

As the sign is intact out front they just might be re-inventing themselves.
