SRI SAKET: -- In the past seven weeks, a 20-year-old Sri Saket man has destroyed eight cars parked at the governmental office where his mom works in a cry for attention and cash.

Lokanya Onwan, an accountant at the Sri Saket Educational Office, became the latest victim of the man identified only as “Jay” after he allegedly smashed the rear windshield of her Toyota Altis yesterday with a brick.

Staff member Boonchuai Rodniam told the police Jay, whose mom works at the office, threatened to smash 10 cars until his mom gives him THB800,000 cash to buy a big bike.

He wants 800,000 baht to buy a 'big bike'. How about you get a job, save your money, and buy one yourself instead of expecting Mommy to buy it for you. Thai women spoil the hell out of their boys. And she will likely have to pay for the damage he has done, fines, court costs and all that. Then, if she continues to refuse him, he'll likely kill her one day in a fit of Yaba induced rage.

Sri Saket police yesterday arrested the man who allegedly burned one car and smashed seven others parked outside his mother's office to pressure her into giving him THB800,000 cash.

Kittisak "Jay" Wonglert, the 19-year-old man who threatened to destroy 10 cars unless his mother gave him the money to buy a motorbike, has been charged with malicious damage after one of the eight car owners complained to the police.

Kittisak has reportedly confessed to the crime and has been sent to the Provincial Juvenile Court for prosecution.

Kittisak was also charged with violating a court order which forbade him from entering the Sri Saket Educational Office, where his mom works, due to a previous violent incident.

In a report by Manager, Kittasak is related to a senior police officer in the area and the other victims had not filed police complaints out of fear he would be granted bail and seek revenge.

Dr. Chaoom Kornkai, director of Sri Saket Education Office, encouraged all eight victims to file police reports. He has also stationed security guards at the building entrance during office hours.

Editor’s Note: The previous report said Kittisak Wonglert or “Jay” was 21 years old. It has come to our attention that he is actually 19.

Cent, they are treating 20 year olds as juveniles now in Australia. The official adult age is 17 but, more and more, the courts are overriding this and treating them as kids.
