I don't understand why Thai immigration is involved in this case and not the Thai police bureau. I thought immigration was concerned with foreigners entering Thailand.

The Immigration Bureau of Thailand is a government agency under the Royal Thai Police (สำนักงานตำรวจแห่งชาติ) and is responsible for administering and enforcing Thailand's immigration laws and regulations.

Still confused. That business agency was interfering with other countries immigration departments. Not Thai immigration or its laws.
They were committing fraud on Thai territory. There are multiple branches of RTP which Immi is but one. Why sort this case to them then, when it clearly does not involve Thai immigration law.
Must be under some International MOU I have no idea about. But you do get what I am saying (I hope) @CO-CO.

Just a label really. I was surprised that Immigration didn't structure itself towards the Ministry of Defense.

I imagine that the Immigration Department is using it's extensive knowledge of fraud to assist another branch of the RTP.
