I try to keep up with my gf daughter's schoolwork...but alas I'm lost on the translation.
Any engineers out there that can assist on explaining exactly what this is about would be greatly appreciated.
Thanking you in advance.
That's better. I no longer have to crick my neck trying to read all those formulae. Unfortunately my Thai reading skills are non-existent and the homework poses the same problem I have with my daughter's homework. Namely, "What is the question?" However, as with my daughter's homework, certain clues usually help me to find the answer. In the paper above, the diagram would tend to suggest that your girl friend's daughter is into structural engineering and is trying to determine the formula to calculate the second moment of area of the cross-section of a beam, an important property used in the calculation of the beam's deflection and the calculation of stress caused by a moment applied to the beam. Seems pretty straight forward to me!
