Coming back from Sisaket to the house yesterday afternoon we were stopped by Muang Police and asked for ID. It is extremely unusual to see city police in the countryside but traffic was being stopped both directions.
When we got to Ban Khu Sot, 3 km from the house there were 1/2 dozen police trucks either parked or driving through the village. A couple hours later my wife sees on Facebook what the commotion was about.
In a village 5 km away, a school principal, her new lawyer husband, her mother and an aunt were all discovered shot to death. The ex husband, an Education Dept executive had made numerous threats to the deceased after the new husband moved into what he considered his home.
Killer man has not been located yet.
