If you don't, I'm not sure anyone else does! This comes from the wife, If I understand properly ? Anybody heard anymore? 90 day report coming up, Its in the wind to see how it Fly's
I have to do my 90 day report Wednesday. Still haven't figured out how to do it on line. Had my wife call our friend in Immi yesterday to see if they are still wanting people to report in person now with the covid resurgence. She was told they've heard nothing about any report waivers and such from the BKK bosses. So I guess I'll be making the trip up there. That's what I know to date. This comes from the wife, If I understand properly ? Anybody heard anymore? 90 day report coming up, Its in the wind to see how it Fly's

Dunno. Will look into it further.Confirmed cases?
Yes, confirmed. The family in question had 2 sons at 2 of the schools in Surin. The was the primary reason for closing the schools in Surin until the end of the month. Both my daughters are now learning online from home. The husband was the first confirmed case, after returning from an illegal casino in the south-east. His wife was later confirmed, as were some other family relatives, 1 from Kap Cheong. His 2 sons have not tested positive as yet. The other reported case was a lady from Sikhoraphum who went on an extensive walkabout around Sikhor over the New Year, including a trip to Robinson's. She tested positive on return to Bangkok.Confirmed cases?

All this info was on the Thai media, in particular, the PTA net (PTA - parent-teacher association). The local network has been red hot of late.
Only 2 or are confirmed by https://covid19.ddc.moph.go.th/en anything else are rumors They do say 5 are in quarantine but not in Surin.Yes, confirmed. @CO-CO, I knew you would ask for the official source and that is why I confirmed @Cent's hearsay. The story on social media and PTA net seems real enough. However, using GL's reference, I did find the following chart.Thanks.
So what is the 'official' number of cases in Surin - and, other than social media, where does that number appear from an 'official' source.
A genuine question because we regularly see an 'official' league table of confirmed cases. ..... although I haven't seen one in the last few days. I will look for information sources such as this:-
Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) WHO Thailand Situation Report - 6 January 2021 [EN/TH] - Thailand
Situation Report in English on Thailand about Health and Epidemic; published on 6 Jan 2021 by WHOreliefweb.int
The 365 new cases reported today also include 250 cases classified as ‘local transmission’, as follows:
- 215 cases are linked to occupational risk, visiting crowded places or had contact with confirmed cases, including Samut Songkhram (2), Bangkok (28), Ratchaburi (4), Samut Sakhon (20), Phra Nakhon Si Ayuthhaya (2), Lopburi (3), Chonburi (70), Chanthaburi (28), Kanchanaburi (2), Nakhon Pathom (2), Pathum Thani (3), Nonthaburi (2),
Phichit (2), Chachoengsao (2), Chiang Mai (1), Nakhon Ratchasima (2), Samut Prakan (34), Rayong (4), Surin (2),
Surat Thani (2).- 35 cases are under investigation and verification including Trat (1), Ratchaburi (1), Samut Songkhram (1), Bangkok (5), Chonburi (6), Rayong (10), Samut Prakan (10), Pathum Thani (1)

I do not necessarily agree with GL's assessment that if not recorded on the Government website they are only rumours. If they were just rumours, I fail to understand why they closed all the schools in Surin City, initially for two weeks, and then extended this until the end of January. I understand these closures are only for Surin City, not the rest of the province.
I did look for an explanation of the figures in the chart but found none. However, there is a more detailed chart for Surin that lists the people involved. Thanks Nomad.
I tend to agree with GL that they are rumours until confirmed.
Obviously, the clock starts ticking with suspected cases that are showing symptoms or have been in close contact with a confirmed case.
At this point it is not unreasonable to take protective action...ie school closures. In Lahansai they closed the local market immediately when they had a suspected case. Had he tested positive further actions would have been taken. He tested negative so, quite rightly, the market reopened. My reading of that chart is that Surin has had a total of 9 cases (since first wave, or just this second wave?). Of those 9, 5 are in State quarantine that suggests 4 have tested negative and have been released - or died!
If I have misunderstand the chart please let me know.
Thanks for the info & Link, proper information.Thanks.

This chart shows a total of 14 cases, the first 2 dating back to 21/3/2020.
The main chart shows:

Therefore, I do not see how this connects to the 9 cases shown in the first chart (extract above).
The 5 cases in quarantine, correlates to a degree, to the 5 most recent cases listed for Surin. The latter charts are showing 14 Covid-19 confirmed cases, all assigned case numbers, as opposed to the 9 cases in the main chart. Are we comparing apples with oranges? Your guess is as good as mine.
Those latest reports are from Amphur Sri Narong which is between Sikkor and Sangka. So if you said she went shopping in Sikhor there is every chance of that.I did look for an explanation of the figures in the chart but found none.
