It means that visitors can now use the forum to request membership, be accepted quickly, and receive confirmation that their membership is up and running.
We hope that this will encourage many more visitors to join us, and will also encourage every member to introduce their friends to the forum as often as possible please.
We all need new members. You - the members - are the forum, and without you, and more of you, exchanging stories, points of view, experiences, hobbies, observations, advice to new members, what to see and do in the area, and opportunities to make new friends and acquaintances, we won't expand. Worse, as some members leave (for whatever reason - moving on, relocating, feet first, or even being banned for improper behaviour!) SF will shrivel up unless new blood arrives.
Encouraging people to join is very easy really. The only problem is how to get them to visit SF so that they can do so!
Here's a little help for them and for you. Give them one of these so that if they can't join on the spot when you ask them (e.g. while in the check-out queue at Big C or elsewhere!) they can take it away and do so at leisure:
