Thai national needs passport at Choeng Chom.

A valid Thai Passport is required for exiting Thailand and entering Cambodia at Choam Sa Ngam and Choeng Chom border crossing. This was verified this morning. ID card is NOT accepted.
 
Wow - what happened to the ASEAN free flow at Chong Chom?
Are Cambodians required to have valid passports too?
 
Wow, does that mean Thailand is kicked out of the Asean agreements because of being a "military regime" ?
How this must suck !!!!
But then they can say they are not the last in the class anymore !!!
