I would like to make a point, more specific to Thai food in general , than to Starbeam
A Tom Yum, probably one of the most sought after dishes by visitors, is invariably full of all the bits and pieces that add to the wonderful flavour, but which are inedible and get in nthe way when eating. In the UK and perhaps other western countries, dishes which require a number of herbs for flavour. have the said herbs bundled and tied together or retained in a muslin bag, which can be removed after cooking. A Bouquet Garni. Surprised the Thais have not latched on to that.
