WISE transfer delays

I generally transfer WISE to my BKB account every 4 weeks. For as long as I have used WISE, the transfer has been made immediately - except for the last two occasions. It took them 4 days for one requested 4 weeks ago, and they are forecasting tomoorrow pm for one requested today.

The amounts are relatively small (state pension only) and I chose the reason for transfer option of personal expenses (and not long -stay in Thailand as I know that can take longer,

Is anyone else experiencing this?

A friend was worried that WISE was moving out of London and opeerating from the US, but I see that that has only to do with their primary stock market listing being moved to the US from London - unless someone knows differently!

I have used Wise for several years. My experience is that as long as I keep the transfer below 50.000thb, it always goes within seconds. But as as soon as I transfer more than 50.000, it will take a couple of days.

I send to Bangkok Bank, and as mentioned above, my experience is that the limit for instant transfer is 50K.

I sent 65k+ to Kasikorn.......6 seconds.

Others have experienced minor delays with payments (from WISE balances), but Merlin is not the only one I have heard of with delays over 1 day.

Another 4 weeks, another delay. My bank in the UK transferred funds to WISE a few minutes ago. Wise confirmed receipt moments later (no bank delay there...)

WISE say that they will action my transfer at 10.00 tomorrow morning and that my Thai bank will receive it at 2.00 pm tomorrow.

That's better than the last 2 transfers arranged on successive Fridays, when the funds were taken from my UK bank immediately, but not actioned until the following Mondays.

So where was the money held AFTER my UK bank released it to WISE and before it reached my Thai bank? Clue: WISE held on to it for up to 4 days until 10.00 am on the day it was transferred to my Thai bank.

This is not the service they had been providing me with for the previous 2 years. WISE state that they must provide Thailand with the reason for my transfers. From the drop-down tab, I always select "for personal expenses." That hasn't changed since I chose "For long-term stay in Thailand" when I first transferred (2+years ago) and that took many days to arrive.

Answers on a postcard....

I always choose "Funds for long term stay.." .............99% of my transfers take 5 seconds,

WISE sent me an email this morning at 8.35 stating that my money was "on its way to" me. It also states

"Wise says that my transfer’s due to arrive today.

Great! Really that means your money should’ve arrived already. We say that it’s due today because some banks need a few hours to process transfers from us. "

4 hours later, and there's no sign of it in my Thai bank account. So why when using the same method (same banks and WISEdid my transfers used to complete in a few moments - as others here state?

Have you guys checked out Moneygram? They seem to have better rates and lower fees.
Have I missed something ?. Has Wise been out priced and you guys have not even noticed.
EG todays rates UK pound to Thai Baht
Wise 43.14
Moneygram 44.32

The fees are very low bank account to bank account. I tried some transfers to see just what the charges were and Pitfalls. Did not find any.
Funds appeared in my Thai bank account in 10 minutes.
I was going to start using Wise again and apply for a Wise card. The overseas ATM charges just keep going up.
