Additional forms for visa extensions

When I obtained my visa extension (retirement) last week, my wife and I needed to complete two additional forms to those I needed 2 years ago (I believe we did last year but I wasn't paying attention).

One appears to be a declaration that you have the amount of money in the bank that your passbook says and that your bank letter has confirmed (it's in Thai). The other is half in Thai and half English which requires your signature to verify that you understand the rules governing your visa extension.

Is this a country wide requirement? And how would I complete the former if my wife was not with me?

Just curious, no hardship.

Whenever you go for an extention - retirement or marriage - always ask an extra copy of the forms so you can fill them in in advance at home - eventually with your missus - and the people at KCI will love you for it. Fast and effective.

Just a quick question? The form explaining the rules of your visa... Do they have a Form number on it.. most of their forms start with TM and can be download and sometimes filled out online.. Would be interesting to know if this does apply nationwide... Thanks for the information..

TM form are application forms. If you want info your best to look at ThaiImmigration website.
What specifically do you want to know?

Afaik, form numbers are on neither, just photostat copies. Also, I doubt they will be downloadable from the Immigration site. I shall ensure I obtain copies of both forms before my next renewal or perhaps someone else will and post them on here?

Y (if I live until then)

Believe it or not I found the Letter online and downloaded it.. I use Bing and put in a search for Thai Immigration Forms.. I wound up on a site Don's Life in Thailand / www.donslifeinthailand.com and under immigration forms he had the letter and, yes, you can download it... Give it a try.. BTW his list of Immigration Forms and Letters is more complete then what's on the immigration site...
