Agree. My one and only time in a Soi Kola Karaoke was after the Thai Visa function at Farang Connection, many years ago.

I've never been in one on Soi Kola although I did know a young lady from there (not in the Biblical sense).

Indeed it was from memory. I seem to recall being offered a lift and more back to my hotel at around 3.30am. Think I chose to walk.

Very reasonable for a late night taxi service.She was on a motorbike, and the "FARE" was, as I recall 3,000Baht!
Well, just shows I know zero about Thai food... we went to Surin Welcome tonight, one look from the TGF and she said NO !
Ok, Green Terrace again says me, no, Chid Rom says her... the foods better !
Goes to show, everyone has a different taste and preference, so the only way to know is try for yourself.
As a note, it was Busier tonight with Thai people, and the service suffered. Quick with the ordering, and attention to drinks, but the empty plates (8 of them) were still there when we left 2 hours after finishing our meal.
However, the food was nice, again, and I don't regret going.

I go to Bangkok on Monday, and tomorrow night we won't be reviewing a restaurant as I intend to have my last night at Fantacy Bar as the expats and hosts have been so nice to me, even though I'm an outsider
