Before the last shake up of the visa system, i used to make a short trip to Laos every year to apply for a new 1-year Multiple Entry Non-O Marriage Visa.
I did this as it was quick, simple and did not involve too much interaction with the Government Authorities.
When they changed the system to were you need make an appointment at the office, as opposed to just turning up before 10am, i made an appointment and turned up with the same documents i had provided for many years.
However, on this occasion when i requested a Multiple Entry Visa I was advised they now could only issue me a single entry.
I refused this as i am in and out frequently and went about a different process to gain my visa.
I was wondering however, if i went to Laos and came back in on a single entry Non-O visa, could i go straight to immigration in Surin and apply to have that changed to a multiple entry visa ?
Has anyone done this, or know if it is possible ?
