DoHome - Initial Thoughts

I avoid talking to them. I hate it when four of them descend on you when you pause for a moment to look at something.

PS Did you notice this OP was last opened five and a half years ago. My TV is still going great bye the way.

Same at Big C, Home Pro, Global House and Thai Watsadu.

On my own, I walk them around until they reach their 'boundary'; with Jip, she has learned to say to them "My Farang likes to be left alone but we will ask you if we need anything".

Worse is EVERY member of staff saying "Sawasdee" to you, even if they are only 5 metres away from the last one. It is about as sincere as the 7/11 greeting (where they usually don't even bother looking up from putting money in/out of the till.

Yorky is sadly not with us any more. But thanks for the contribution. His Archer beer bottles used to damage to his fridge shelves.
Never worked out why he cared. :)
Sorry for this loss. As a home brewer of beer, I can sympathize with not wanting to hurt the bottlers or having anything would damage the “subtle nuance “of the swill I brew…To clarify, a damaged shelf could ultimately give way and the bottles could come crashing down…always protect anything and everything related to beer…

I spent a lot of money in DoHome. Built our home here, kept going back, seems my wife and I were on a first name basis with many of the staff. Until one day we tried to exchange, not return an unopened box of tile, approx 1300 Baht on day 7 of a 7 day exchange policy. So after spending over 265,000 baht in that Surin store over a 1 year period, they refused to accept the exchange. I ended up walking away with a sour feel for the store policy. Sent the main corp an email and never got a reply. Now no more money will be spent there, yet still continued to build our home. Their loss. Just be careful with their exchange policy. The staff were good people, kind typical young Thai men and women, only wanting to help. Corporate needs to rethink policies

Jesus, it must have been ancient for paint to go off, never heard of that before.

Hi drcpub
Maybe you would like to introduce yourself in the relevant section. It might help people to get to know you more,

Nobody likes to hate on those chine ****** bastards, like me........... BUT!

I did my research on TCL Tv's and buying one on recommendation from @nomad97 because I just could not make up my mind. I have not been happier with the android TCL tellie I bought.

It does Irk me a bit to support the CCP but just what do you do when globalisation shifted everything to China or they stole the tech and did it better. :(
Had a few 55 inch TCL. Great at first but don't last. Motherboards shit themselves after a couple of years. I have 2 x 65 and 4 55 inch in the house and outdoor beer and spa room and most are Samsung. As TCL stuff up I will make all Samsung. Best lasting

Use the paint shop opposite post office rear parking bays. Great service, great selection and great staff. They are cheaper than the big hardware stores. Best prices I have found. Young lady at till speaks very good english
