@Pat: I agree, an addition of a DIY store there would be better than another shopping mall, the area is already saturated with plenty of "mall-type places".

Dohome just might give Global House a run for its money. At least that building they are going into won't fall over. Thaiwatsadu has just had a shot fired across it bow. Now if Dohome wants a slam dunk they need a food court..McDonalds, Burger King and Sizler comes to mind https://www.dohome.co.th

At the moment Thaiwatsadu has the Burger Bang restaurant just to the right of their main entrance. They could possibly set up/rent out to other street stall type food shops somewhere in their parking area, which is pretty small actually already.

IQ fell due to the many new places for home improvement that opened over the past few years. Too much competition from the big boys. Personally I liked IQ because they had a decent selection and were usually cheaper for many things.

But Surin could use a McD, Burger King, Taco Bell, Sizzler, Hungry Jack, Five Guys, Wimpy and those are not going into a DYI store.

I disagree, only because it's the way to grow a city.
Not by hoping, hoping and hoping people move to it, but by making it a place better than your current one.

Great! The Thai people and their children need overpriced, non-nutritious junk food so they can try harder to become fat and unhealthy. Great places for the Thai teens to hang out as well!

Also developing projects for and enacting proven plans to enhance or deepen the city's water supply reservoir would surely benefit the sustainable growth of Surin.
