Elephants and people live side-by-side in this small Thai village

nice article, Westie

Thanks for posting. goodpost

I don't want to enter a pissing match here but basically these pachyderms are simply prisoners.
If they lived in the nature preserve across the Mon river without chains , we as decent **** Sapiens could rest our conscience a wee bit more (IMHO).

Don't get me wrong I enjoy a good animal show from time to time....though my conscience doesn't always agree.
I just don't know if the animals and their separated families do shrug1
I for sure wouldn't. Cry3.
(Okay , maybe one night with Jenna 20 years ago.)

I share your same views relating to the elephant village. Like it or not, it is part of Surin's heritage. Just thought I'd post since it's Surin related news.

I understand. We're on the same wave length (without the carburetor). Chokdee5

A few days ago, I was shopping in Krasang, and I saw a couple of young elephants being led through the little town by two ruffianly youths.

To me, a very sad sight.
