We used to call Barra caught in tidal esturies " black back " for the thin line of colour under the dorsal fin and the saltBarramundi can be farmed in fresh and salt water !
Some times if fresh water can taste of mud Same as the Panguses shite.
But if its the sea raised Barramundi it can be real nice and tasty .
Keep in mind Fish and chips should be served with real chips NOT Fries .
water Barra were called " silver bullets ". Caught a few in my time.
