Hello,

I need to have a document I drafted myself notarized so I can legalize it later at the MFA in Bangkok.

Can anyone help me with this, preferably near Prasat?

thx in advance
Steve

In both languages ( thai and english ) because I need the document later in Europe

If you struggle to find anyone local. I used a company in Bangkok - everything dealt with electronically. In my case I needed translations and legalisation for marriage purposes. They were very efficient and reasonably priced. Despite being located in the same building as MOFA, the legalisations were actually done by MOFA in Chiang Mai.

Thanks for your reply. Could you possibly give me the company's contact information?

I found a lawyer in Surin City who also provides notary services for signature certifications, and I've already gotten in touch with him.

My only advice is to be sure of exactly what you need. Legalisation, notarisation and certification are obviously all different.

I used:-

Nearly all my communication was via LINE or WhatsApp (can't remember which)

Thank you very much :) This agency even works with my home country, Luxembourg :)

Right now, I just need a signature on a document to be notarized so I can have it legalized at the MFA in Bangkok.

When you say “everything is handled electronically”......how does that work for your wedding documents?

Doesn't the agency need the original documents (birth certificate, proof of single status, etc.)?

Any original documents can be sent via EMS post.

Be careful with notarisation; in the past a lawyer in Surin claimed to be a Notary Public.... but he wasn't. There is a list of Thailand notaries somewhere, it is worth checking because you can be sure that the final recipient will. We found out the hard way.
