Prasat Ta Muean - Surin

Here you go. Some members favorite cigaret shopping districtT.I.C. and it is in Buriram.
GPS 14.336176661, 103.175825385 (Border Land Crossing)

Part of it looks like it is in Cambodia. Do you need a passport to cross over to have a gander or a mine detector?

Zoom down on it you will see 3 new photos that I took recently. They are building a new crossing and at some point plane on opening it. At present its only open to locales
but Fridays, Saturday and Sunday you can go across to the Cambodian market. The problem is this crossing is 100% controlled by the army and not immigration as such you have to leave your passport with the Thai army, no dl, no id but your passport. BTW no land mines.

I was impressed by your 9 decimal place coordinates. I just had to reach for my calculator. This is what I found. Taken at the equator or at least within 23 deg of it the calcualtions are quite linear. For 4 decimal places this gives 11.132 meters accuracy of location. At nine decimal places it is a staggering .11132 of a millimeter.
I think your machine is having a lend of you. Set it to 4 decimal places and call it quits I think.

Checked this place out on Google earth. Well I'll be! About 10 years ago I attended a relatives funeral here. After all these years I had no idea where the hell I was. Now I do.

I’m totally new here and have a fascination w/archaeology and Khmer temples which is what brought me to this forum as I live in BKK. Sorry to revive an old thread.
In following these coordinates below I found there is an actual streetview map up to the temple on the dirt path following what I guess to be a Khmer soldier! Too cool!

https://www.google.co.th/maps/@14.3...!3m5!1e1!3m3!1sihO0jjW_m8JWKsVFd8XnWw!2e0!3e5

Just click on the path as you would in any other streetview map and you’ll make your way all the way up to the temple.

Thanks to those who have posted the extremely accurate locations and I’m sure I’ll be asking questions when time for a trip.
