Rain?

Never happened in Surin last night. The beast from the east dropped its load over North Vietnam and Laos by the looks of it.

According to TMD, Thailand weather can be divided into 3 seasons. Summer is between 16 February and 15 May, rainy season is from 16 May to 15 October, and winter is from 16 October to 15 February. Last year's figures.

Thanks Nomad. That's about what I thought.

So when I see stories of major drought in June, they are a bit premature?

Not necessarily, we did have a major drought last year. We were as dry as a bone and no water in the main reservoirs. All the town's supply was dry. Big trucks going around to deliver water. People drilling boreholes everywhere. In the 17 years I have been in Surin, that was the first time we had no water in the houses. This year the town's water supply has been very good, fingers crossed.
