A couple of years ago, SCB ceased all dealings via a PC, and only an app on a mobile telephone could be used
I withdrew all my money, apart from some 300bt to keep the account open - just in case
My wife has a long standing SCB account, but only with an ATM card. No internet banking.
Yesterday she wanted to transfer 200,000bt to her Kasikorn account. I was given the ATM card to deal with it.
At the ATM machine, I was only permitted to make transfers of less than 50,000bt, each at a cost of 30bt. 4 transfers would have cost 120bt (2 bottles of beer). However I decided to transfer the full amount to MY SCB account which was permitted at no fee
This morning using my mobile I tried to transfer the 200,000bt to her Kasikorn account. Once again, not allowed. Maximum transfer under 50,000bt, but no fee. I duly made a time consuming 4 transfers of 49.999.99bt.
Should I vent my frustration to the big boss of SCB?
