As far as I have read in Thai it will go ahead in a mild form. With a Elephant funeral procession through town and the Elephant breakfast in merit making for the king and further toned down commemorations. No party as such.

Apparently everywhere except the Bht 500.00 (and I guess Bht 800.00) was free today. However, there were so many people turned up that the Bht 500.00 seats were opened for free also.

I wonder if those who had paid got their money back?
