Yes, and these days add in the constant inflation on top of the falling value of the baht and you can see the effect it is having here on the less affluent.

Which is why I stated "for us". Meaning farang.
 
When I visited the United States in February 1977, the exchange rate at the time was 1.30 USD for an Australian dollar. I remember getting 16.40 baht to the dollar here in 1992.
Was the same for me when visiting the UK back then in the 80s. USD to the Pound.
