Have to make a visarun for my Non OA visa, guess it will be to Lao
_ Any suggestions for an easy way
- Any recommandations for the overnight stay ?
- Anything good to know ?
Any input appriciated

Have a multi entry Non OA visa, just have to leave because my insurance expire Aug.1 - have a new one, so should give 1 year at entry according to KC Immigration.
Just need to know where it easiest to enter Laos, prefer to go by bus or minivan, so far they tell me Mukdahan is the easiest

I don't understand why you are going out of the country to renew your OA.
!8 months ago after being on the OA for 14 years. Immigration would not accept my insurance.
I went to Cambodia without a re entry permit.
Came back in on a 60 days.
Went through the process and converted to the Non O.
Of course Cambodia is out of the question for a border crossing now.
If you want to go to Laos.
Bus would be the obvious choice if you are not able to go by car.

Technically Non O is not available in country. "But it is" Isn't Thailand wonderful?
All comes down to everything is under discretion of the local Immi Manager. Brown envelopes help in this discretion.

Back to the OP. More information is needed @DaryDane.
How long you want to go for?
Do you want to just do a bounce off the border?
Are you going to get a visa on arrival or one before you go (For Laos)?
Are you going to drive your car over?
How are you getting too Nongkai or Mukdahan?

The 'in country' O visa is publicised and there should be no need for any brown envelopes... Just the 1,900 Baht fee.

It used to be policy you could not get an O if you arrived visa exempt. But you know how policies easily shift.

Bounce if possible
Making Lao visa on border
No, coming to mukdahan by bus, guess there is a minivan or something going to the border

I'm following the advise of Immigration in KC - My Non OA is valid until October 27, it's only a question of my Insurance, it expires July 31, have a new one from Aug.1-26 to July 31 - 27 - that should give me 1 year at reentry again according to Immigration in KC

Need to go to immi and grab a reentry visa stamp? Not sure as you have a multi entry.

There used to be a lot of us here that did O Visa runs to Laos. Covid and new policies have just about shut that down now. So a lot of us never go any more.
Either should you. You should just convert to an O visa and then do your extension. Retirement or Marriage based.
Anyway. There is an bus service from Mukdahan bus depot and Nong Kai depot that leave 1 to 2 hours throughout the day.
It is called the International service and has a separate window. The rest is up to you to play by ear.
Have a good trip.

Marriage based is simple once you can supply the required documentation, it takes me all of about 2 hours max to prepare
and 1/2 an hour to submit.
I changed from a retirement visa 4 years ago and happy with my choice.
