Water Shortages In Surin - July 2019

The guy who I bought my solar system from also sells solar pumps and imports them from China by the container load. Apparently they are selling like hot cakes throughout Isaan.

We are still running our house off rainwater, but the last rain we had was October when we had 17mm. September was 111mm. Nothing for November or December so far

We are way below normal rainfall levels for all months:

What are the scales? X-Y?

We have had NO rain since the first 3 weeks back in September. Going about the area it shows.:(:rolleyes:

Actually saw a complete set-up being transported on the back of a truck yesterday in Sisaket.

I have 22 x 1,500L tanks in my rainwater harvesting system. 4 of them I reserve for drinking water. The other 18 tanks are now empty. Today I have had to switch to well water for household use.

We could do with a drop of rain!

Lucky to see rain by this coming September. Last season we only had 3 weeks of rain in September last. You need to dig larger and deeper. Our dig is doing what it is supposed to do.

I profess to know very little about bore-holes but read on FB that any holes in excess of 50m have to be registered and a meter is installed for you to pay for your water usage.

Anyone heard or done anything like this????

Facebook is where everybody should get their information and news, eh. ;;bones;;

What did your local Dept of Water say ?

Edit Add: Every driller should be licensed and every bore-hole should be registered and approved in advance. ;)
By the way that idea makes some good sense. Now if only they could enforce it.
