Beautiful house Alan - is it cavity wall ?
Beautiful house Alan - is it cavity wall ?
Alan
What do you mean by cavity wall? Is this double wall, something like that. The bay window and some other pictures indicate something "different", please explain.
Thanks

I was very impressed with it and clearly Wood and Colin are as well.
Did you like the bay windows Ray ?
I think house design is a personal thing and the bay windows make an attractive change to the normal 'box'.
That said, I personally wouldn't bother. I have had houses in the UK with bay windows and you would invariably use them to sit in to look outside. I cannot see me ever wanting to do that in Thailand - you would have a balcony or terrace.
I would not bother with either because I imagine that the additional costs would be disproportionate to the benefits - for me.
It is personal taste that dictates the extent of the extras - I would try and keep them down.
In your case Ray it would of been an extra ,as we would have needed to add extra footings to hold your weight if you wanted to use them as seating lol lolI think house design is a personal thing and the bay windows make an attractive change to the normal 'box'.

Also, the window sills looked attractive.

Were both inner and outer walls Qcon or grey block ?
