A number of times I've stayed in hotels in Bangkok and left my wife to check in whilst I park the truck. Rarely have they asked for my passport when I return.

A number of times I've stayed in hotels in Bangkok and left my wife to check in whilst I park the truck. Rarely have they asked for my passport when I return.

After many years of my wife checking in I was only ever asked for my passport once, that was in Bangkok at The hotel Asia. I was forced to stay there during the floods a few years back because every hotel that had high and dry parking was booked solid for the car space. Strange but true. The parking that is not the asking for the passport, which is due diligence to keep track of us filthy untrustworthy foreigners. Unlike the locals of course.
