I cannot imagine many of today's 'yoof' wanting to labour out in rice fields in the same way as thier ancestors.

Most of the young ones head off to Bangkok and elsewhere looking for work. So not only is there lack of rain to worry about but perhaps no one left to work the fields in the not so distant future.
