I recall attending the funeral at the appointed very early in the morning hour, only to find it had started even earlier and was almost over.

Peter (PHP)'s funeral was advised as being at 14:00.
At 09:00 Petri rang to advise that it had been brought forward to 10:00.
A rush job to get ready and we arrived in Phusing at 11:00.
Not a lot happened until around 13:00 when we all departed from the house to the Crematorium, where we sat for another 2 hours listening to a eulogy from a Thai who had obviously not known Peter.
At 15:00 we offered our apologies and retired to the pub.
At 09:00 Petri rang to advise that it had been brought forward to 10:00.
