Sarsons, or will the cheap Thai substitute suffice?

One would use approx half bottle of Sarsons for soaking. That is far more expensive than a needle, unless you use it for chips later! :smile:

Cheapo Thai stuff,Nick that's kept in the shed and away for cooking ingredients.That way it can be re-used many times and does zero damage to shower heads that (maybe) pins and the like, do.

Why not discontinue the towns main supply, and use the bore to fill your tank, which could supply all your needs effectively FREE?

Because a) borehole is too far from shop units, and b) with the system of pipework already supplied by the borehole the pressure isn't as good as the mains - without paying out for a bigger pump, c) it's good to have a back-up and d) her indoors doesn't like showering in borehole water! AND, Yes, i know she had to for most of her life etc etc !!! Don't like Leo anyway!
