Thailand's monsoon season is June through October. In Isaan we'd rather not deal with last year's drought conditions that found major water sources periously diminished.

Possibly Covid was a blessing canceling Songkraan 2020 when things appeared dire.

Of course the arseholes watering their driveways and curbsides with a continuously open spigot are another story.
