Water Shortages In Surin - July 2019

Bloody Fred Karnos today. The truck that was supposed to bring water at 10:00 didn't arrive. "Sorry, we had to supply a doctor in an emergency, we'll be there at 13:00". Did not arrive. At 18:00 a government truck arrived (free and clean water) but then discovered that we had 300 litres and there were folks without any at all. They will return tomorrow. One hour later a Bht 400.00/cm pick up arrived but upon discovering that we had 300 litres decided it should go to more deserving folks. They will also come back tomorrow.
 
@Yorky, we have just been told that water will be turned on for Kokpalat 3 times tomorrow. Your Kokpalat or my Kokpalat - who knows? The first period is supposedly 0500 to 0900, the second period 1500 to 1700 and the final period is 2000 to 2200. I do not know how good this information is but I will certainly be out there to check it out.

The red truck did not come at 1300 as promised the day before but at 1800 tonight. However, as per the previous evening he had no water for us. He had water for the select few, all teachers, but the rest of us, mere mortals - nothing. It's the Masons I tell you - it's all stitched up. My wife told him to get stuffed when he offered to bring water the following day.
 
Apparently they are not putting any water in Huai Senang. Because the bed is so dry, it will just soak into the ground. Plan B is to "deliver" direct to the town's water supply.

My wife told me the same story last night but I could not find any references to back it up. So much for the news that water would be there this morning - nothing! Just finishing the second run to fill up the 4 dustbins with water. Now pumping them into the main holding tank. About 3/4 full and enough for 3 days with modest usage.

I heard they were heading straight for the inlet to the main water tower in town, maybe somewhere near the Army camp. I also heard that some big 'noodles' donated 1,000,000 baht to buy the extra pipes required to make the connection. One big plus is the water will be relatively clean. Had it been diverted through the main reservoir it would have been like a chocolate soup.

That "big noodle" must be an ATB clinic.;;bad simle;;;;bad simle;;;;bad simle;; It looks to me they have to go another 7 km or so, that being the case I would say you have another week and you guys may want to form a convey and take mario's suggestion seriously.

18.00 น. พี่น้องทหารถอนกำลังกลับที่ตั้ง หลังจากสู้รบกับวัชพืชน้ำและโคลนมาทั้งวัน แอดมินก็จะถอนตัวกลับที่ตั้งเหมือนกัน แต่รถแบ็คโฮ อบจ. ยังติดโคลนออกไม่ได้ น้ำไหลมาถึงโรงสูบแล้วประมาณ 5% ไหลมาน้อย ๆ เรื่อย ๆ พรุ่งนี้เปิดทางน้ำสะดวก คงมาเต็มที่แน่นอนครับ

Speaking off. The pond at the main house was drained for the rice and there was I'm told some 100 kilo of fish taken which was cleaned and sold at 60 baht per kilo. The pound btw is not dry as it is below the ground water level but a mud hole it is.;;bad simle;;
