90 Day Reporting changes - now 15 days before up to reporting date

I submitted my 90 day report on-line this morning at 08:00 and it was approved at 15:00. Very handy because my next report date is now 6th June which is when both my (old) passport expires and my extension of stay expires so I shall be able to kill three birds with one stone.

I hadn't realised that your next reporting date is the date that your extension of stay expires whether it be 90 days or less. Is this new (my situation/dates were different 10 years ago)?

I would have thought that the passport expiry date is more relevant than the extension date or you have no legal status after 6 June......unless you bring your new passport into play.

Your extension of stay, in my experience, expires on the date that your passport expires during the last 12 months of it's validity. It was the 90 day reporting that I was questioning.

Yes,and that cannot go past your passport expiry date

Another question. My extension of stay for the last 18 years (with two exceptions) has expired on 27th June. When I apply for my next extension before 6th June 2020, will the subsequent extension commence 6th June or 27th June 2020? If it will commence on 27th June then I shall need to ensure that my application is no earlier than 45 days prior to that date and also that my next report is no earlier than 15 days prior to 6th June.

Neither. Your new extension will take effect 28 June.

Incorrect.;;bad simle;;

The only dates on my previous extensions are "issue date" and "expiry date".

However, notwithstanding that, I will therefore need to obtain an extension of stay from 7th June until 27th June and then a further 12 month extension of stay commencing 28th June 2020 and expiring 27th June 2021. When I apply for the extensions, I shall also request the relevant information be transferred from my old passport into my new passport. Will the 20 day extension be logged in my old passport, my new passport, or both? Will I need to carry both passports until 28th June 2020?

You are as clear as mud. What date does your existing extension expire.?

Then why are you not getting a new extension at that time? Does your existing PP expire?

I shall be getting a new extension before that time. My existing passport expires on 6th June 2020. My next 90 day report is due on 6th June 2020.

Since 2002 my extensions of stay have all expired on 27th June except for 2010 and 2020 when they expired on 6th June because my passports expired on those dates.

IF you can get a new passport it is simply applying before June 6 and your new extension will take effect June 7 in your new passport. If you do not get a new PP you will be in uncharted waters.

I have had a new passport since September last year.

But you said the new 12 month extension would take effect from 28th June 2020.

As said your original was clears as mud. Due to the fact you have a new pp the new extension will be put in it and becomes active on June 7 the day after your old pp along with your old extension expires. Your 12 month extension will start on June 7 2020.
