Extending 'permission to stay' at Kap Cheong

So this means I cannot go to KC on my own to do my retirement extention anymore ?
I'm due the 18th of march 2016, hopefully these KC follies will be ancient times.

Last March I was sent back to get my partner. When I went with him the following day, the IO said my statement of finance was out-of-date; I replied that he had told me the previous day that it would be OK, and he said, "New boss!" A likely tale! but I had to go back to Prasat for a new statement.

Croc, simply don't try it!

KCI, Rayong Udon, Nong Khai, and Amnat Charon are also reported to be doing it to some degree.

Maybe there are more shysters hiding in the bushes in these provinces than elsewhere. I will be blunt, what is the f**king point of all this extra harassment? What the f**k does it achieve? Anyone been sent home yet?

P.S. Please excuse my French.

But what if you do are single, unmarried, alone !!! Gotlost, can you pop the question to these immi officers ?
Just tell them you know someone who is living alone and who has a yellow house book of those premises.
Just ask them what this bloke has to do to get his retirement extention.
I'm quiet sure they will not believe you and tell you it is impossible but it is possible.
And I just don't want the missus to be there for my extention .. it is my extention, nothing to do with her !!!
Last extention they asked about my missus and I told them I was a big boy and could do it alone and they agreed.

^ If you are unmarried and getting a retirement extension it has fuk all to do with who you co-habit with.
To avoid all this shit next year I think I will acquire an address in Pattaya/Chon Buri and do my extensions there in a more farang friendly environment.

Croc, I applied for my Retirement extension 3 weeks ago on my own at KC. A week later they did the house visit and the Poo Yai Baan came to see them with a neighbour. The wife is in Norway at the moment helping her sister with the restaurant and i explained this. They just wanted to see the marriage certificate.
As they were leaving the man who was doing all the computer work said "see you next year" I hope that was a hint that all was well.
PS . Don't forget the medical certificate.

Medical certificate???WTF are you joking?

And I really can't work out why they wanted a Marriage Certificate if you were getting an extension for retirement. These guys are really going way out of bounds. I am going to the Bangkok Post with this.

You tell them. Not my problem. It is reported that you do no need your wife with you. BUT you will at the house when they drop in for a beer.:D

That has to be miss communication. KCI has never required a medical for regiment. As Yorky said that was killed 8 years back.
GL, i applied for my first Retirement Extension in October last year with no medical certificate and they sent me up the road to the hospital to get one.
This time i took one with me just incase and they asked for it. That's all i can tell you.

Humbert, I don't know why they wanted marriage certificate but they asked for it when they came to house and photocopied it. That was 2 weeks ago. Maybe it was because i am living in our (her) house in the village. I have a yellow house book.

Add this as change 69. 10 to 1 its some idiot re reading the old requirements and putting their on twist on it.

May I suggest, that they ask for a marriage certificate (On a retirement visa) to ascertain your status with the landlord as they called IB's partner/landlord in.
Unless your landlord is not your wife and that would be a different matter.

Your a Johnny come lately. Others have done that and the corruption phone number and they are all NFG.

My question is, will they accept an Australian marriage certificate ?, albet translated.

Looks like in Kap Choeng, Here quotes from Thaivisa

"Had my trip to Jomtien immigration yesterday to apply for my 1 year retirement extension based on retirement. Was in and out in 20 minutes, had to go back today to collect my passport all stamped up for the year. All told a painless experience. The paperwork I provided is listed below.

Application form TM7
Copies of all relevant passport pages
Copy of my house lease
Copy of my landlords Tabien Baan and ID card
Letter from the bank showing 800k baht seasoned
Copies of bank book pages
Passport sized photograph.

At no point was I asked for a TM30 receipt or asked to fill one out as other posters have indicated. Also there was no "under consideration" period"
Sounds hopeful. My turn next week to do the Embassy/Immigration shuffle. Fingers crossed.
