Extending 'permission to stay' at Kap Cheong

My question is, will they accept an Australian marriage certificate ?, albet translated.

No. Not as a stand alone. You need to bring it with you and go to your embassy in Bangkok and have it certified as true. Then the affidavit and certify you go out front and get an agent to translate English to Thai and these are sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) for certification by them. You now make copies all this for future use but you take the original from the MFA to your amphur and register your marriage. The amphur will keep the orginal. You will be given a Khor Ror 22 or for short a KR 22. This is form you must get each year that confirms your still married. If married in Thailand its a KR 2, a Thai marriage certificate is a KR 3. The cost for translation and register at the MFA is about 3000 baht plus the cos of your embassy. The cost of the KR 22, 20 baht.

Your a Johnny come lately. Others have done that and the corruption phone number and they are all NFG.

This is not the only forum with frustrated and pissed off people discussing this issue and with enough pressure it has been shown that things can change. Harrassment of farangs in Bangkok on Sukhumvit and Thonglor ended because enough people complained to the media about it. KC has been rogue for a long time it seems, maybe something can be done - not willing to give up on it.

Update on mine, I didn't go on Friday as planned but will go either Tuesday or Wednesday next week. I read on Thai Visa that another Immigration Office, Changwattana or something similar has a training day on 11 Nov and staff will be at a minimum. Anyone know if this is happening at KCI?
I also did my first extension late October last year and did not have to supply a medical certificate.

I always was unlucky, maybe depends on which officer you get and what mood they are in.
Other forums say the same that no certificate is required.

OK I've just phoned wife about the first time I applied for retirement extension. She was doing all the talking for me then and it was the young girl at the desk on the left as you walk in that checked the paperwork and said you must get medical certificate from hospital. It was her that asked me for it 3 weeks ago and she photocopied it.
Sorry if I've mislead anyone.

With your background I'm quite sure that you're well aware of the 'Good cop , Bad cop' tactic.

Which one do you think she "on the left" is ? ;;girl;;

The girl on your left as you walk in is not an immigration officer but office help. She is 100% incorrect on this and you needed to POLITELY ask to se a supervisor to have her corrected. This has happen with this desk before and if handled polity it will be addressed.

Thanks GL for confirming that a medical certificate is not required. Robdoc got me thinking for a moment that I may have been mistaken. Only need a medical certificate for the 1st application for a driver's licence which is now valid for 2 years.

And Forks the applicant for its says TEMPORARY across the top which means its NFG for driving out side Thailand. BTW other LTD's do require a medical just that Prasat and Surin do not.
