Marriage extension under consideration time frame.

Nomad, you use the Borderless banking system for your transfers don't you? I just do one annual transaction and do not use the Borderless system. That may be the reason. By the way, what does your international code look like?

I assume you are asking what the International code looks like on my Bangkok Bank statement. Here is an example:

Second line down, it shows as an International transfer. Hope this answers your question.

I think I use KASITHBK for my international transfers from my UK bank. Anyone know the Krungsri one ?

I can totally see Immi changing the income requirements for a Marriage O visa soon.

Strangely enough this is sacrosanct as it impinges on wives and children being supported by a family patriarch. The Thais take this seriously. Expect anything for any other type of visa though. That is why they are keen and rightly so to make sure that the relationship is genuine, as they do take it seriously as it is part of Thai culture. This why Thai men's foreign spouses have special privileges. Bye the way they did not change the amounts required even for retirement for a long time now.

Yes, thanks Nomad, in my bankbook which is what SI have looked at each time it shows this.
For many years, SI have always wanted a 12-month bank statement for the past year as part of my paperwork submission and have also asked to look at my bank book. The BKK bank statement is the same format as the on-line statement and clearly shows 'International Transfer'. I have always highlighted these 'International Transfers' on the bank statement to make them more obvious and made a separate summary page in Excel to show the total transferred for the year.

Which branch of Bangkok Bank are you with Nomad? I'm considering opening an account after my experience last time with Kasikorn in Lobinson.

I advise anyone that uses a letter from their bank that it be a Bangkok Bank as SI requires that letter to be same day. Kap Choeng has only one bank and its Bangkok Bank opposite from SI and they will issue that letter for 100 baht if you have a BB account anywhere in Thailand just show your bank book and passport.

Several years ago, after an altercation with the main Kasikorn Bank in Surin about money transfers, I steamed out of their branch and opened a new account with the Bangkok Bank (BKK) that was across the road. I have never returned to the Kasikorn Bank. It is the main BKK branch near the Post Office in town. Since then, I set up my Internet banking account with the BKK branch in Tesco Lotus and I obtained my 12 month bank statement last December from the BKK branch in Big C. It was the BKK branch in Robinson's that told me not to get the 6 digit PIN ATM card until my old one expires in 5 years time. What I am telling you is simply put, you can do anything you want at any of the branches in town - they are all very flexible. Whatever is more convenient to you.

I have never had the need to use this BKK facility but it is well worth noting GL's advice above.

I got a letter from K Bank Lobinsons on the morning of my annual extension at KC last Jan. Took a little bit of time but not expensive from memory

Sounds OK..... apart from the fact that immigration almost kicked you out !! ;):laughing::laughing:

In my experience of applying for an extension based upon retirement I find it of advantage for the update date of the entry in the pass book to be the same date as the accompanying letter (and of course, the amount to be identical). For this reason, I draw a couple of thousand out of the ATM and then up date the passbook before requesting the letter.

Just taken from BE.

Received Annual Marriage Extension stamp at B.I. after a long 2 month under consideration. Minimal Interaction and no funding questions.

As I said District 4 Immigration in Kaon Kaen is swamped with all the retards going over to the ball and change.;;bad simle;;;;bad simle;;;;bad simle;;
