Online 90 Day Report

Yup, ya got to hit the border on an employment-based extension. I recall approx 150km R/T from Surin.

I'm not sure about that. I've never had an employment based extension but I understand, if you have all your ducks in a row, that it only requires a visit to KC every 90 days, plus the yearly extension application.

[From my drum to SI in Kab Cheong is around 112 km return, to Chong Chom is in the order of 150 km return as you say]

If you're on an extention based on employment you have to leave the c**t-tree every 90 days.
That means the border run south of KC is the closest to Surin...hence the 150 km R/T.

Which part of that is so difficult to understand Yorky ?

The bit about Dino working for a school in Surin whose secretary used to take passports of foreign teachers to SI in Kab Cheong every 90 days.

Funny that. During which year(s) did that take place ?
Did these particular teachers possess valid work permits when said passports were brought to KCI.

Did you find out what the teacher's contribution was ?
Are you absolutely sure the teachers weren't utilizing extentions based on marriage while working at that particular school ?

2016 I believe.

Dino did. I cannot confirm about the rest.

Did you find out what the teacher's contribution was ?

Dino didn't pay anything. Again, I cannot say about the others.

I guess some may have been married but not all. The school did not require the teachers to be married to obtain work permits.

All the above answers are hearsay.

Based on hearsay which school did this ?

In particular would this "Dino"-persona be the same Surin-city based person who left Thailand and went to Cambodia for work (possibly three years ago) and has since returned...
or is this the Chom Phra-based fellow ?

The school behind the government hospital. No idea what it's called.

Surin city based Dino.

MuangSurin is the closest school and AnubarnSurin is behind that. Both are kindergarten through to Year 6 primary schools.

Yes, I do believe there is more to that story and that school that employed foreign teachers without work permits issued by the Dept of Labour.

Some teachers worked for six months with positions filled by an agency.

I can't understand exactly what the reason was for the school handling passport stamping other than kicking back to KCI.
Surely "permitted" teachers could do their 90-day requirement on a weekend.

Something isn't quite right with this story...but alas I'm not going to spend any further time on the tale in this topic.

The border crossing is open 7 days/week but unless there have been recent changes, SI is only open weekdays (excluding public holidays).
