6220 .....BLOODY FREEZERS WORKING O/T
Today's bill: 4994. It could have been worse but for those cooler nights 3/4 weeks ago. None of those inverter air-cons here Nomad... How does your bill compare with a year ago?

You may need your parka too ........................Looks like it's going to be a "cooler night" tonight. I've got me vest on today!
THB 5,500 is about the highest we have had so its broadly in keeping with last year (but I haven't kept records). From this thread I posted THB 4,800 for Apr/May 17. I get the feeling that bills this year are running at least THB 500/month higher than last year. Three of our four air cons are bog standard and only the newest 9,000 BTU unit is a Digital Inverter. I have a feeling that the main living room air con, the 18,000 BTU, is the the one that's racking up the bill. The air con is now 13 years old and I had it cleaned and serviced yesterday. Cost THB 800 of which THB 400 was for topping up the coolant (freon). Clearly the unit has leaked since its last service. Makes me think that the coolant was running really low and, as a result, the air con was running on maximum to get any cooling at all.
Been there, done that then the little sh1t used it manually so I disconnected the electric for the unit outside.Just confiscated the daughters AC remote, she forgot to turn it off once too often. The new house seems cooler than our old one and probably down to the modern windows and double glazing

Look out for a long stick or broom handle in the room.Hoping the unit is too high for her although she’s very inventive. She’s got use of a decent fan which does the trick
Thank you, but no thank you. I am looking to upgrade my 18,000 BTU unit with a new digital inverter variety before the start of next season. It will have completed 14 years good service when I do change.4900 in February
6800 in March
I calculate that upgrading two air cons would get me under 4000 average.
Anyone want to buy one or two used air cons? Panasonic 12000 BTU.
