electric bill

Somewhat akin to the Thai women standing on a toilet seat and squatting for a pee.......cracking the seat in the process. Have you ever unknowingly sat on a cracked seat.?OUCH......Bloody hurts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Once.......................... but you never forget.

Splashing BRUT around your bollocks comes in the same category.................................. you only do it once.

August is the wettest and so probably the least sunny month of the year. I am pleased to say that I have run my house without any support from PEA for another month.

"Renewable Energy: What Happens When the Sun Isn't Shining and the Wind Isn't Blowing" - when solar is combined with battery storage, solar electricity production does not need to exactly match electricity consumption.

We all appear to have the meter read in the last third of the month. I wonder what the meter reader does for the other two thirds?

I complained to PEA about my idiot "your meter must be broken" meter reader, to be told that they are not PEA staff, but are subcontractors.

Ours has a motorbike repair shop and he reads all the meters as quick as he can then back at work in his shop.

The bill is begining to shrink a little - 5,590 baht. The good news is that both my daughters returned to full-time schooling at the beginning of the week, Monday 17th August. The house is now occupied by only my wife and myself for most of the daylight hours. We are more frugal with the use of air conditioning. I think, and hope, that next month will see a lower electric bill, below 4,500 baht with any luck.
No such luck. Lower? Yes, down to 5,155 baht. Below 5,000 baht next month for sure.

Mine arrived today too. 3,542.09, down from 3761.23 last month.

I have to say that my step-daughter's absence should have resulted in a greater saving than that! AND stepson was at the Army Camp for 12 days and nights during the billing period, so I can't really blame him this time...

฿993.62.

I note that the fuel surcharge has decreased (now -0.1243).

[Edit: Mine was a day earlier than last month]

Looks like I will be getting an electric bill this month. My solar panels can charge the house when it is cloudy, but when it is raining, the charge rate drops to 600 watts (less than the house consumes) A couple of hours of rain per day is no problem, but not when it rains continuously all day.

Unfortunately, for you, the rest of us are praying that it does rain all day, every day!
