Extending 'permission to stay' at Kap Cheong

I haven't had a home visit yet. No one has called. I have an extension until Dec. 24th. If I am still seething about this nonsense after the ordeal is over I will write to Post Bag.

Isn't the procedure that they don't even put you on the list until 30 days before your extension "deadline". Something about them being overworked? That's what I heard.

I think it was explained on here months ago that the rules are not changing "every day". It appears to be only our misconception of them.
However, we are now signing a paper that says that we do understand and agree with the rules, so obviously there will be no more misconceptions!

Humbert, how is this working out for you ?
Curious - was there an interested party (reporter, editor) on the other end ?
At least, the head honcho of the Bangkok Post is a member of the Council that is currently running Thailand.

You'll get one tomorrow.

OK, can you pick some lottery numbers for me too?
Pragmatic on Teak Door says they called for an appointment on the day they were leaving for a holiday. They asked him to change his plans to accomodate their schedule which he refused to do. I am expecting them to want to come next Tuesday or Wednesday when I have plans to go to Bangkok for a 3mo visit to my doctor.

Humbert I went to KC on a Tuesday and got the house visit the following Wednesday, a week and a day later. Got a phone call off them at around 11 o'clock and they were here between 12-30 and 1 o'clock

For information and regarding my early post, on what date did your previous extension expire (relative to the date of the visit)?

26th. October Yorky. Got to phone them on 25th. November to find out the result.

Nov. 24th was the last day of the visa extension. I went early because my passport will need to be replaced next year by the first of November.
I'll carry my phone with me today. I hope it's not today because my wife has to leave for Bangkok for business this afternoon.

Was the village headman in attendance?

I don't quite follow your reasoning in going early. Your extension will date from 24 Nov 2015 - 24 Nov 2016, irrespective of your date of application. They probably will not bother to come for lunch at your house until after 24 November, when your "Under Consideration" period starts.

I'm not going to get a full year so I thought I would just get it out of the way early. That and I wanted my bank records to reflect my most recent direct deposit.

I go early every year, normally around 3 weeks. Just in case I've missed something and then I have time to sort it. Luckily I have not had anything wrong up to now, but with this latest crack down, one never knows. Your new extension always commences from the date that your old extension expires, no matter what date you make the application.

Took a chance and stuck my head into KCI about 11am this morning for a 90 day report. I saw 6 yes 6 farangs walking to and from the copy shops on the highway, inside at the reception desk were another 6 farangs and their others lined up and inside the IO side there were another 6 farangs and their other waiting and only 1 IO working. I just laughed. NEVER ON A MONDAY.:D:D:D:D
