I vaguely remember complications when building my place (almost 20 years ago). We needed electric during the build but couldn't have a supply until we had an address. And we couldn't have an address until we had a roof. Somehow it was sorted. I believe the foreman tied some rebar to his trainers and climbed the pole opposite to connect in to the mains. I don't think that I ever paid a bill then.

How do all those air conditioners works through the geo cooled heat exchanger ?Aircon units: I chose the smallest BTU units I could find using the smallest number of watts. I chose 8,500 BTU Daikin Super Smile Inverter II that uses 640w in normally running and an “intelligent eye” system which tracks movement and reduces power if the room is unoccupied. 5 units installed was ฿100,000

Hi @Rice In my blog I told the story of my geothermal system not surviving the build (too much concrete on top of the pipes), but I am still going to use my Energy Recovery Ventilator:
Because the house is super insulated, I need to find some way to introduce fresh air and remove stale air in a controlled manner. The duct work introduces fresh air into each room with one extraction point per floor. They all go back to the ERV which introduces filtered air from outside which is cooled and dried via the heat exchanger by the exhaust air. The level of cooling is probably not sufficient to cool the house on its own.
The purpose of the aircon is firstly to cool and secondly to dehumidify the house. They are supported in this role by insulation; the sealed nature of the house and ceiling mounted DC motor fans in each room.
