My wife said that the electricity would be off to facilitate repairs to the water tower/water system. I did raise an eyebrow but there it is, straight from the horse's mouth so to speak. The water has been on and off for several days, doesn't need a separate advisory, so I tend to think it is the electricity that will be off.

Wood insists it is the water.

We have friends coming for a late lunch at 2.30pm for which I am roasting a joint of porchetta.
If it is the electric I will probably do something unmentionable to Wood as I will be halfway through cooking in the oven.

I know TiT but it appears strange to me that electricity to the whole of Surin will be "turned off" to facilitate some repairs to the water tower.

Anyway, I've transferred my latest reading material to my handphone and ensured that it is fully charged.

Major water supply outage to hit north of Phuket Town

PHUKET: The Phuket Provincial Waterworks Authority (PWA) has announced that the mains water supply will be shut off across a large part of the island north of Phuket Town on Friday (July 26) due to a power blackout affecting pump stations.



Thepkrasattri, Srisoonthorn, Pa Khlok, Cherng Talay. Koh Kaew and Rassada are all to be affected by the water supply outage, from 9am to 4:30pm, noted the announcement.



Power outages by the PEA are the reason for the water supply shortages and will cause water pressure to be low or completely shut off during this time.

It is now almost that time and we haven't yet had any interruption to the electric power supply. For which I'm very grateful as I am uploading 150,000+ files to my new host server (and have been doing since early morning).
 
We managed to get through the afternoon unscathed. Where did your wife hear about the outage?
