I'm happy now (it doesn't take much) - 32 degC, shirt,shorts and socks, laptop operational, Long John Baldry on the Hi-Fi and a glass of what some folks refer to as beer.

I wear socks 365 days of the year. Except this year when it will be 366 days.

I have to put slippers on when the temperature is below 20C, as my feet crack.

Happy to report the slippers have gone back in storage - hopefully till next year - and I am back drinking my beer outside.

The mind literally boggles as to how one might combine our version with socks!!!!!

They are generally blue or black, all obtained from Malaysia, UK or Australia (Freesize Thai socks don't expand to size 11 feet). I wear sandals only when pottering around the garden.

It's a worry when we degenerate to talking about the weather because of a lack of excitement on the Forum this week.

Maybe time for a poll re wearing thongs to the next SF function. Will they be optional, who will attend under what circumstances, etc. Should be able to get 20+ pages out of that, once the flawed poll is disregarded and forgotten!
