90 Day Reporting changes - now 15 days before up to reporting date

Ok, a silly question, why do Immigration need a letter from the embassy to ask Immigration to transfer the stamps? Surely, it is obvious to even a school child that a new passport has been issued by the alien's embassy and that the old one has expired. It should follow, by the application of simple logic, that it is necessary for Immigration to transfer the visa details from one passport to another. :D:D:D

I suggest that you direct that question to SI on your next visit.

As I understand it, it is a Thai Immigration requirement...........................bloody pointless !!

OOh, tough one that....... FFS Yorky......... how about the date you "used" that visa.

Clue....... the date will be in the first immigration stamp that brought forward the information into your newly cancelled passport.

That is the date that I have used. As the first visa was a multi-entry I "used" the visa on a number of occasions during the first year (I was working at the time). However, the other entry dates have not been transferred to the subsequent passport.

May I suggest you inform the British Visa Service (or whoever) that the letter they provide for presentation to Immigration is factually incorrect. The new passport does not receive a new replacement visa! Only the details of the original visa are transferred.

It also states that I am the British Passport. You can't get decent help these days.

Having only seen the letter for the first time yesterday, it's not obvious what information is required by Thai Immigration and what information the British Government believe what is required by Thai Immigration. Best to make sure although, as has been said it is unlikely that the IO will even look at it never mind check it.

Agree 100%........................... a pointless box ticking exercise

Correct Nomad. However a complete waste of time. Neither VFS, nor HMPO nor the British embassy like having discrepancies pointed out to them, and will likely as not answer. I am quite sure Immigration are quite happy with piece of headed paper, more likely than not fully understanding its content!

Tried today to input my personal details on the online reporting site. Alls well until they ask for ‘vehicle’

after the date & method of entry completed.
Tried inputting ‘airplane’ ‘flight number (off TM6) to no joy.
Tried uppercase/lowercase/gap between alpha & numbers and various combinations.
Message kept coming back saying ‘incorrect flight number’

Anyone got any advice, other than give-up?????

I am assuming (not always a good thing) I will not have to do my 90 day in and out of the country May 30. My wife has the Immi boss' number and will be giving him a call before then to see what's up with that. I'll report back when she has the info for me.

I would like to see you try and do it Cent, with the borders closed.

The Immigration Bureau has just sent me this official infographic. The following is my unofficial translation:
‪Foreigners (who are allowed temporary stay) can now stay in Thailand until 31 July 2020.‬

That was the basis for my assumption, Coco. And I've not heard of any other way they would want you to do it. 31 July brings me to one month before my 1 year O multi entry visa is due to expire. Will need to find out just what the hell the consulate in Savanakhet will be requiring to renew my visa there. If the borders are open then to do so. They were asking earlier before this all blew up for health certificates.

I appreciate that I am not within the "certain groups of aliens" who do not have to extend their visas (being on an extension of stay) but nowhere (that I've seen) is this clarified.

I didn't think you needed health certs for Non Imm O...... I thought it was just 'O-A' - but I have no evidence for that, it is just what I recall.

What isn't clarified ?

Your part (and mine) comes under the "No need to do 90 day reporting".
