Is it increased use of the air con or an increased load on it?
What ?

Either way it is consuming electric according to its rated output. Are you using the aircon more frequently or is it the additional work that the aircon needs to do to cater for the recent increase in ambient temperatures?

If an aircon unit kicks in to lower the temp just a tad, it will soon switch off, only to switch on again shortly afterwards. Rinse and repeat. Older aircon units use MUCH more electricity at the start of the cycle than they do when they are running normally, so the more frequently they switch on and off, the greater the power consumption. (Condenser units less so.)
Very pleasantly surprised....4,273Baht (last April 5,300Baht)

Trust me, I have done a visual and can find no evidence of any such tap.Nomad: I'm not usually a visitor to TV's forum, but found this today when searching for unusually high electricity bills...

Is that a meaningful figure? Did you live in the address to which the bill refers for a full month? From all your travels around the planet, I think you are deserving of my avatar.2,978 Baht

OMG! You'll soon be a big spender like me. Some 5,700 baht for this past month. It could had been worse had the temperature not backed off a little, even though it has been one of the hottest months I can remember during the past 15 years in Surin. We've exceeded the 400 unit threshold for the second time this year.
